Climate change & Ocean

1 day or more days program

Protect The World Ocean invites you to participate in the Climate Change & Ocean Program in Bali – Lembongan – Gili – Komodo and the Philippines to survey the condition of seawater. We will examine the condition of coral reefs and seawater at various locations at given times, places and modes.

Research Objective:
Investigating and mapping the aquatic ecosystem and fauna.
Photo, video documenting, field and laboratory protocols, on-site sampling and laboratory testing.
In addition, we will investigate the color and age of corals, algal content, environmental conditions and conclusions. Not only water surface associations, but also underwater ones are observed, so the scope of the research is extended to the top 40 m depth.

The surveys are carried out continuously, the results achieved in the meantime and the final conclusions are published. Our research is supported by the color table and datasheet distributed by Project Aware, as well as the Coral Solution developed and distributed by Queensland University, and we also use coral quantity / type resolution squares.

During the program, photos and films promote the results of research and survey.
